About us

Our aim is:

  • To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group.
  • To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment.
  • To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.

 We offer your child:

  • Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children.
  • Fun and friendship with children and other adults.
  • Opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the activities of the group and in your own child’s progress.
  • Our pre-school offers education and care for children below school age and over the age of two.
  • We are registered with Shropshire County Council Early Years Education and Childcare Team to offer nursery education funded places.
  • A specially tailored curriculum leading to the early learning goals. Click here to see our curriculum tree.

Admissions

We are a small group – our maximum number is 10 and this means staff can really get to know your child. Children can start the pre-school group at the age of 2 years and stay until they start school. Any children can attend Little Acorns regardless of which school they will eventually go to, however in the event of there being a shortage of places priority is given to those who are planning to attend Rushbury School.

If you would like your child to join us please use the contact form or call Elaine on 01694 771677.
